Innovation Sciences Network (ISN)

1. Background

The Innovation Sciences Network (ISN) was founded in 2024 in response to research showing that 90% of innovation, startup, and research-to-impact projects fail — most due to avoidable causes.

ISN was created to help innovators, entrepreneurs, and organisations succeed, and to aid researchers in translating their research to real-world impact.

2. SaaS Expert Systems

ISN develops and operates two SaaS expert systems:

• Adoptic — an expert system for evaluating and improving the adoption readiness of innovation projects
• Impact Personas — a survey tool for assessing individual contextual capacity, capability, and impact identity

3. Advisory Services

In addition to its software platforms, ISN provides advisory services across three areas:

• Enterprise Innovation — supporting organisations in building and sustaining innovation capability
• Research Translation to Impact — helping researchers move their work from the lab to real-world adoption
• Entrepreneurial Support — guiding entrepreneurs through the challenges of building and scaling ventures

5. Team

ISN was founded by Tim Stroh, PhD. The team comprises over a dozen staff along with partners who bring expertise across innovation science, entrepreneurship, research translation, and technology.
